Rush

I’ve loved the music of Rush since I first heard it at age 15 in the living room of my first boyfriend’s parent’s house. The song was Show Don’t Tell from the album Presto. The music of Rush belongs to me. It transcends all memories, all past times and people, and speaks to me now (and makes me air drum and air guitar) as much as it ever did. If you think you know their music just from what you’ve heard on the radio, dig deeper.

Alley Cat Allies

I love cats. House cats, feral cats, street cats, ugly cats, cats with odd faces, with health issues, with only three legs. All cats, I love them. Alley Cat Allies loves them all too, and is committed to educating the public about community (or feral) cats, protecting them, and employing the simple solution of TNR (trap, neuter, release) so that cats can live their healthiest and happiest lives, bound to a human or not.

League of Michigan Bicyclists

The LMB is a group of cyclists working to advocate for cycling as an all-around excellent activity, and for the safety and protection of the cyclists on Michigan’s roads. I count some of their employees and volunteers among my friends, and will dedicate my spare time and energy to their cause. Take a ride with them!
